The CBC Basketball Program places a strong emphasis on developing individual skills and fostering strategic gameplay, while promoting a positive and inclusive team culture. Students participating in the Program benefit from comprehensive and challenging training sessions conducted at the College Gymnasium. These sessions are led by the highly skilled and dedicated basketball coach, Jack Tavian, in collaboration with the experienced Head of Basketball, Michael De Pinto, ensuring each player receives exceptional mentorship and support to reach their full potential.

Basketball Program

Sports Association for Adelaide Schools (SAAS)

CBC Basketballers in Year’s 7–12 compete in the Sport Association for Adelaide Schools (SAAS) Basketball Competition. Held across Terms 2 and 3, CBC basketball students participate in various grades based on year level and ability.

Students who make our Open A Team will compete in the SAAS Open A Competition, as well as compete in our annual Intercollegiate game against Blackfriars Priory School.

Students in Year 3–6 compete in the MSBL Mini League at Wayville Stadium during Terms 1 and 4.
