FAQs
It is never too early to register your sons.
We generally commence enrolments finalise enrolments two years to 18 months prior to commencement. The earlier we receive your child’s enrolment, the better opportunity we have of being able to accommodate your family in the preferred year of entry. Positions are offered in order of date of application.
Please call the Registrar Mrs Rita Micale to discuss your requirements on (08) 8400 4210 or email rmicale@cbc.sa.edu.au.
Our College community respects the diversity of beliefs and actively promotes formation through the integration of faith, life and culture. The values held by the Christian Brothers College Adelaide community are based on the Gospel values, where Jesus Christ is the ultimate role model of a full Christian Life.
Many of our students are of faith or denominations other than Catholic and settle into the College community very well.

Related Questions:
Can I specify an entry year other than one of the intake years?
Families may nominate any Year Level for entry however, we recommend that families choose an intake year as a first option, as we take in new classes at each of these levels.
When do you offer places for an intake year?
Approximately two years to 18 months prior to the anticipated date of commencement of the child, and as positions become available we will contact you to arrange for an enrolment interview for your son.
This is an essential part of each student’s transition into the College and will allow you and your son an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

Although we prioritise siblings and Catholic children currently attending the local Catholic Feeder Schools, it is best to enrol early to ensure we have a position available in the preferred year of entry.
However, it is essential that we receive the Application for Enrolment for your child early to enable us to allocate a position for your child.
Please note lodgement of an application for Enrolment does not guarantee an interview or a position, nor does an interview guarantee the offer of a position.
The Application for Enrolment should be signed by both parties i.e. the legal guardians of the student as per the child’s Birth Certificate.
Should this not be possible or should a court order be in place, or where there is another caregiver, please contact the Registrar Mrs Rita Micale to discuss your situation on (08) 8400 4210 or email rmicale@cbc.sa.edu.au.
If Court Orders/Custodial Orders are in place, a copy of either document is required to accompany the application form. If one parent/caregiver wishes to enrol their son but the other parent is not in favour or the enrolment, this must be resolved outside of the College.
While we understand that these situations are challenging the College cannot be involved in these family matters. If only one parent signs the enrolment contract then that parent will be solely liable for the tuition fees at the College. Family fee accounts are billed to the enrolling parents/caregivers as per the enrolment contract.
Where families are separates the College expects the enrolling parents/caregivers to organise their own payment arrangement of fees. The College will not split accounts unless there is a Court Order in place and it is provided to the College.
On receipt of the completed Application for Enrolment and relevant documents, these documents will be reviewed, and an interview will be organised for your child. This meeting is an essential part of each student’s transition into the College and will allow you and your child another opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
Along with the completed Application for Enrolment we require a copy of the following:
- Birth certificate
- Baptismal/Confirmation certificates if applicable
- Most recent school report (for Year 1 entry onwards)
- NAPLAN results if applicable
- Visa / Passport / Citizenship (if applicable)Â
- Documentation relating to Student Learning Needs i.e. extension or support (any reports, action plans, assessments etc)
- Documentation relating to Health Care Needs
- Any Court Order, Parenting Plan or related information affecting your child
After the interview, the application and relevant documents will be formally reviewed by the Principal, prior to a formal offer of a position being posted to you. If you wish to accept the offer of position for your child, we ask that you pay an Enrolment Deposit of $200.00. This is a non-refundable fee, however, the full amount will be credited to your family’s first fee account.
