Middle Years Transition Program
Our Head of Transition and Middle Years Leaders work with Junior Campus Leaders and Teachers, to create opportunities for students in Years 5 and 6 to experience some of the different learning areas and environments during their final years at Junior Campus to ensure a seamless transition to Senior Campus.
This gives the boys some wonderful new experiences while becoming familiar with the Senior Campus environment. Coupled with our Big Brother Program, where our Senior students visit the Junior Campus each week to do reading and help our younger students in class.
Our Middle Years teachers and leaders build and foster relationships throughout your son’s journey from the Junior Campus through to the Senior Campus. One of the many opportunities to do so is by having them participate in Junior Campus school camps, such as the aquatics camp and Canberra trip.
Toward the end of their school year, the Year 6 cohort undertakes a two-week transition program, where their lessons are based at the Senior Campus, and they get to work with senior campus teachers whom they may have in the following school year.
